On Rhodes, platform commission is the biggest fixed cost nobody writes down as one. A site with its own booking engine will not replace the platforms, but it moves a slice of those bookings off them. The guest who found you on Booking and then searched your name is the cheapest customer you will ever get.
The site has to open in two seconds on a roaming phone, speak at least English and German, and show a price without demanding an email first. We work remotely, and winter is the right time to start so you are taking bookings by March.

Which languages should my site have?
English is non-negotiable on Rhodes and German almost always pays for itself. We add whatever else matches your guests, each language on its own address so Google can find it.
When should I start to be ready for the season?
January at the latest. Summer bookings open early and Google needs a few weeks to trust a new site, so a site that goes live in May has already missed half the season.
